Portrait Pricing: Get exactly what you want
Flexible pricing to meet your needs

You can get a complete photo session with a few unframed prints for about $400, and the prices go up from there based on your needs.

My pricing includes a lot of things that other photography studios don't offer. For example, I bring my studio to your location, I include unlimited digital enhancement and image manipulation for Portrait Art images, and my framed prints use the highest quality wood frames. Quick Overview
Here's a quick summary of my pricing:

• $250 for a portrait session anywhere in metro Atlanta
• Prints priced from $1 to $650 depending on size and type (click here for details, or see below)
• Image fee of $10, $25 or $100 for each image you use (click here for details, or see below)

A typical portrait session with some unframed prints will cost around $400 or more. You can get a session with a framed 20"x24" portrait on canvas for less than $700. And you can get a session with a framed 30"x40" portrait on canvas (great for over the fireplace) for $1,000 or so. Everything is completely guaranteed (click here or see below for details on the guarantee).

Photo Session
For any portrait you'll get a photo session at your home or your choice of location. You may include as many different people or combinations of people in the images as you like. You can even have "portrait parties" with multiple families each doing family and individual portraits (you can divide the session fee among the families).

Proofs of images taken during the session will be provided to you for viewing over the Internet or on your computer, or on a DVD for viewing on your TV. You can also get 4x5 proof prints or a spiral-bound proof book for an additional non-refundable deposit; you can then apply the deposit toward the price of the prints you order.

After you use the proofs to narrow down your image selection to your favorite photos, then we'll discuss your final selection and the details of how you want your prints digitally enhanced.

À La Carte Pricing
Get exactly the prints you want. You don't have to commit to spend a certain amount beyond the session fee, so you can review the proofs before you decide how much more you want to spend. There are three components of the total à la carte price:

1. Session Fee: $250 for a normal session
   
   +
2. Image Fee:
   Pay once for each image from which prints are ordered, no matter how many prints you order of that image. There's no charge for the other images for which you don't order prints.
   
   For each proof image that you've selected for printing, select one of three levels of digital enhancement:
   
   a. Basic: $10 for each image. Includes exposure adjustment and color correction. Includes conversion of a color image to black & white or sepia if that's what you want.
   or
   b. Enhanced: $25 for each image. Includes Basic, plus minor digital enhancement like blemish removal or light retouching.
   or
   c. Portrait Art: $100 for each image. Goes far beyond Enhanced. You get whatever digital enhancement you want on the chosen image, as well as any additional work you want on the image, including special effects, painting effects or selective color (color in some parts of the print and black & white in other parts). The image can even be a composite of the best parts of some of the other images (for an example, click here).
   
   +
3. Printing and Framing Charge:
   Once you've paid an image charge, then you can order as many prints of the image as you like. Small prints are a particularly good value, so order extras to share with friends, relatives and co-workers. Framed print prices include the print, the frame, and all assembly, so you get a finished print ready to hang on your wall.

• Wallet-size prints: $1 each, in multiples of 4
• 4x5 or 4x6 print: $4 each
• 5x7 print: $6
• 8x10 print: $10
• 11x14 print: $30
• 8x10 framed print: $75, or $125 if printed on canvas
• 11x14 framed print: $100, or $150 if printed on canvas
• 16x20 framed print: $175, or $275 if printed on canvas
• 20x24 framed print: $210, or $310 if printed on canvas
• 24x30 framed print: $375, or $525 if printed on canvas
• 30x40 framed print: $500, or $650 if printed on canvas

Volume Discount: If you order 50 or more prints of the same image in the same size, then the prints are half price.

Proofs
Proofs can be viewed over the Internet, on your television from a DVD, in a spiral-bound proof book with 8-12 small images per page, or as 4x6 proof prints of each image with a proof watermark across the face of each print. There is no additional charge for Internet or DVD television proofs, but if you want individual proof prints or a spiral-bound proof book, then you'll need to give me a deposit of $2 per proof image ($200 minimum) to get the proofs. The deposit is not refundable, but it can be applied toward any prints you order.

If you want to keep the proofs, then it will cost $1 per proof ($100 minimum). But if you spend a total of $500 with me (including the photo session), then the proof price is 50¢ per proof ($50 minimum), and if you spend $1000 with me, then I'll give you the proof prints for free

Albums

For certain kinds of portrait events like family gatherings, you might want to get one or more albums containing the best photos from the session. In partnership with mypublisher.com, I can provide a magazine-quality album in three sizes:

• A paperback album 8 inches wide and 6 inches high, with prices starting at $30 per album
• A hardcover album 11 1/4 inches wide and 8 3/4 inches high, with prices starting at $60 per album
• A deluxe hardcover album 15 inches wide and 11 1/2 inches high, with prices starting at $100 per album

Album starting prices are for a 20 page album. Prices for albums longer than 20 pages are as follows:

• 8x6 paperback album: $30 + $1.50 for each page over 20
• 11x9 hardcover album: $60 + $3.00 for each page over 20
• 15x11 deluxe hardcover album: $100 + $5 for each page over 20

In addition to the price of the albums themselves, there is a one-time album design charge of $10 per page (minimum of 20 pages), regardless of the album size and regardless of the number of albums ordered.

Feel free to order multiple sizes of the same album. The small paperback is great for carrying in a pocketbook or briefcase to show off the family, while the larger albums are great for coffee tables or gifts.

Digital Negatives

Digital negatives of all images can be made available to you on a CD or DVD approximately two years after a session. However, if you have a another photo session six months or more after the original session, with the same subject(s) in the photographs as in the original session, then the digital negatives of the original session can be made available to you immediately after that second session.

The charge for digital negatives is $100 per session ($75 if you pay within 30 days of that session).

Having your own copy of the digital negatives can give you additional assurance that your precious photos will be safe for many years to come, and it gives you the opportunity to make additional prints of your images any time you want.

Gift Certificates

Gift Certificates are available for any amount of money or for a specific combination of prints and services. Gift certificates make great gifts for the holidays or for new parents.

Note on Prices

These prices do not include Georgia sales tax or shipping & handling, so the actual total price will be slightly higher. Prices are subject to change.

Guarantee
All work is guaranteed; I don't want you to pay me for anything unless you feel that it was provided at the level of competence and professionalism that you expected. If there is a problem, then I will take care of it in a way that will be pleasing to you, in the same way that I would take care of problems for my own family.

Payment Terms

$400 is due when the session is held. $250 of this $400 goes for the photo session, and the remaining $150 is used as a non-refundable credit against photos and albums you order. Any additional balance is due when the prints or albums are delivered.

If you want proof prints or a spiral-bound proof book, then the non-refundable deposit for the proofs is due when the proofs are delivered.

For orders after the initial order, payment is due when the prints are delivered.

The price you pay will be based on the current price as of the session date (or prepay the session fee and lock in the current price at the time of your payment), and that price will be guaranteed until thirty days after your session date. Any orders placed more than thirty days after your session date will be subject to a $20 order charge and a 20% surcharge above current pricing.
