Casual Portraits

Images edited to be the way you wish they could be
Digitally enhanced images to bring out the best from each member of your family, including composite images with faces and smiles that have been moved from other photographs.

As the number of people in a portrait increases, the probability decreases that everyone will have a good expression or be in a good position. That's frustrating for parents who want a good portrait of their family, but it can be just as frustrating when you're trying to get two babies or toddlers to cooperate. With most portrait studios you have to compromise: is it better to have your child with a good expression or to have your spouse smiling?

Fortunately, I have a solution to avoid those compromises. My "portrait art" images include the labor required to take the best image of each member of your family, and bring those best images together into a single image that looks as if the people were posed that way to begin with. See the examples below.

This family photograph is good, but the baby isn't looking at the camera.
