My Approach to Weddings
How I view wedding photography.

Wedding photography is about capturing wonderful memories and providing a tangible record of a key event in your life. Your wedding is special, and you want your wedding photographs to be special as well.

You want someone experienced, who you can count on to capture moments that will only occur once. But you want to be able to share photographs of your magic moments with your friends and family, and you don't want to have to spend an outrageous amount of money for every print.

My approach to wedding photography is to combine quality and economy. I've got many years of experience in photography, doing hundreds of portraits and events. But I recognize your need for a reasonable price, and I've come up with wedding photography pricing that I believe will satisfy your desire to get high quality at a low price.

Weddings combine portrait and event photography. Portraits are created of the bride and groom separately and together, along with portraits of family members in various combinations. Here my extensive portrait experience, particularly my experience "on location," is directly applicable. Your portraits will capture the best views of you and your family on your special day.

A second aspect of wedding photography is more photojournalistic, capturing events as they unfold, putting together a record of the wedding event so that it can be relived again and again by the wedding couple and family viewing the photographic record in an album, in individual photographs, in a storyboard, or on a DVD. Here my event experience applies: I react quickly to things happening around me in order to capture them in images, yet I blend unobtrusively into the background. After all, the wedding is about you -- not the photographer.

When I photographed my first wedding I remember the excitement of the events unfolding around me as I captured memories of key moments. Later, I remember the tears of joy in the eyes of the bride, groom and their parents as they relived those moments when they first saw the photos. I enjoy making people happy, and weddings offer a unique opportunity to please people with my photography.

I would love to do photos of your wedding. I offer boundless enthusiasm, a commitment to apply all of my abilities to the task, and the flexibility to provide services that other photographers may not offer. My Wedding Storyboard is one example. Another example is a DVD Wedding Video, set to music, which zooms and pans across individual photos to recreate the magic of the special day (ask me for a sample DVD). But you don't have to take a "package" with a bunch of stuff you don't really want or need; I'll give you exactly what you want, and for a price that's surprisingly low.
