How a "Green Screen" Can Give You Great Portraits
Backgrounds can be changed on a computer to give you exactly the portrait you want.

We've all watched a weather report on TV and seen a weatherman standing in front of a map showing storm fronts. In reality, the weatherman is standing in front of a "green screen" (literally a solid green background of a special color), and the map is added by computer wherever the green screen is visible.

I can use my computer to substitute any one of hundreds of different backgrounds.

I use the same technique for portraits. I carry a green screen with me to your portrait location, and if your photos are taken using the green screen background, then I can use my computer to substitute any one of hundreds of different backgrounds, anything from traditional muted colors to backgrounds which make you appear to be in an outdoor location.

Here's an example of a photograph taken in front of a green screen.

And here's the same photograph with a background added by computer.

Here's another background choice, and with cropping to 8x10 dimensions. You'll notice that I also used the computer to change the shirt for the boy on the right.

Here's the final photograph as ordered.

There is no additional charge for using a computer background with a green screen photo, although there is a requirement to order a minimum of one 8x10 (or larger) print of the photo.
